WHY IS THIS RISK ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY IMPORTANT?

This assessment methodology is the approach for the systematic identification of undesired events and their causes and analysing their likelihood and potential consequences in order to make a valued judgement as to their acceptability and tolerability. This methodology will help you identify, manage and control risks and hazards in your workplace to ensure your employees are safe.

This assessment methodology is task and activity based. In cases where a safety issue may occur, the health and safety task risk assessment may be important as evidence to show workplace safety concerns are managed, where legal concerns or financial claims may be involved. 

VALIDITY

The risk assessment methodology must be kept in the health and safety file together with the risk assessment and made available to any interested parties who may wish to see it or refer to it at a later time.
