GENERAL INFORMATION SIGNAGE DETAILS

General information signs can be easily identified by their design: a white pictogram on a green square. They are used to provide general information or instructions of a general nature in relation to locations, equipment and conditions on the premises. 

This general information sign is the "First Aid Equipment" sign (code - GA1), whose pictogram is a white cross to indicate the location of first aid equipment. This sign can be used singly on its own or in combination with the following general information signs:

This sign is constructed from ABS plastic and has the dimensions 290mm x 290mm.

WHO NEEDS TO USE THESE GENERAL INFORMATION SIGNS?

These general information signs are required by companies who have equipment, locations or conditions on their premises that are not currently indicated so that they can be indicated and easily identified and persons on the premises can be made aware of their existence.

WHY ARE GENERAL INFORMATION SIGNS IMPORTANT?

These general information signs are important because they create awareness to persons on the premises of specific equipment, locations or conditions that exist that are important in the interests of health and safety on the premises. Their use allows specific equipment, locations or conditions to be located quickly and easily.

This also provides evidence to an inspector that an organisation is creating awareness of specific equipment. locations or conditions in the interests of health and safety and is therefore complying with legislation in this respect.
